We got our Christmas tree today -- let the holiday season begin! We usually get our tree in about a week or so, but I'll be away next weekend, and so we figured, this was as good a day as any! I love the picture below of the girls checking out Todd as he cuts it down. So funny. It's a pretty tree, and I think will look gorgeous all trimmed and lit. We'll tackle that in a few days!

It was a relaxing sweatpants-and-t-shirts thanksgiving for us. And I wouldn't have had it any other way! As always, we had family, food, and lots and lots of fun.

I just dawned on me that though I posted all about the laundry room renovations, I never posted a "done" picture! Perhaps, that is because it took me until yesterday to paint the unfinished walls! I felt the need to do something productive, and painting seemed to fit the bill. I've been debating painting the walls in the downstairs since we moved in and I just couldn't decide. I finally figured I had very little to lose as the white paint that was on the walls (and had been here for goodness only knows how long) was really looking dirty, so after painting the outside laundry room walls this creamy cafe au lait color, I just kept going until I ran out of paint! I think I like it so much I'll go get more and do the other wall.. But here we are, so far! I also rearranged the furniture; the way the sofa had been was making my neck hurt when we watched TV, so we're giving this arrangement a try!
