I love catching them unaware like this, having together time. They have been having so much fun just being a "pair" over the past few weeks (with a few minor scrimmages in between) that it has been lovely to see. They play barbies and My Little Ponies and more than anything, Legos. Then today, I found them back having some Nintendo fun. I love the cycles of the toys!

Don't you love this happy creature? This is Ainsley's scarecrow - and I think she is just adorable. Now she cheers up my kitchen windowsill on these gloomy winter days.

Made it to Friday! Had a few flakes of snow last night even! Weather report says more is coming tonight... we shall see. But for now, just me, on my way to work, glad I survived the start of this semster (even if it wasn't quite as smooth as I would have hoped!)  :)

My girl, at the end of the day. Dinner is finished. Things being put away. Dishes need to be washed. My work piled up on the edge of the table calling to me insistantly. She is tired of from doing her homework and stuck on her math. And she puts her head down and gives me that look. That look that says, please stop what you are doing and help me. Please just sit down here so we can finish this together and then you can tuck me in and I can go to bed. Please see me here. Please remember that though I'm getting growing up, I still feel small.

I do see her. And I did stop. Other things can wait. Tonight, here, this is what is important.

Sarah and I did a little crafting this week, to celebrate the upcoming Valentine holiday and to just enjoy a bit of creative time together. I had found some examples of ribbon wreaths on Pinterest that I thought looked pretty, and Sarah agreed ~ a perfect thing for us to try out. We made two, one for us and one for Dolly --

It took a bit of time to cut everything out and then to glue everything, but I think it was well worth it! Of course, I can't get the white balance right in the photo because it is always either dark or gloomy when I try to snap the "finish" photo, but you get the idea!
